2025 Inlet Spring Regatta Early Bird Registration Underway
The Nothin’ Dragon Paddling Society is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Inlet Spring Regatta on Saturday, April 19!
“We are excited to host our next event. This year, we chose April 19 for the best tides,” said Brian Kenny, event chairman of the regatta. “Despite it being the Saturday of the Easter weekend, we wanted to ensure the best day for optimal water and safety conditions.”
“Early bird registration offers a reduced price until January 1, 2025, so we hope teams will take advantage of it.”
Attracting dragon boaters from around the region and the USA in the first regatta of the 2025 race season, the event will consist of 200-meter races in 20-person BuK boats. Each team will be guaranteed four races and all winners will receive a medal.
Participants can expect product vendors, food trucks, a beer garden sponsored by Yellow Dog Brewing, wandering entertainment and free dragon yoga – an offering unique to this regatta.

The Burrard Inlet is an ocean water inlet teeming with wildlife, from birds to seals, fish, and shellfish, most of which can be seen while paddling there. The Inlet Spring Regatta will have several categories named after birds found in the area, like the eagle, osprey, and hawk.
Known as the City of the Arts, Port Moody is located in Metro Vancouver at the east end of Burrard Inlet and is bordered by Coquitlam on the east and south, and Burnaby on the west. The regatta venue, Rocky Point Park is known for its beautiful amenities, with The Boathouse Restaurant, Pajos Fish & Chips. and Rocky Point Ice Cream all within one to five minutes walking distance. The area is well-known for its five local breweries and a distillery, also within short walking distance from the venue.
