Paddlers came, the sun shone, and the inaugural Inlet Spring Regatta on April 22 was a huge success. Congrats to our winners! Results from today's races can be found HERE

36 teams took part in the 2018 startup of the 200m sprint event hosted by the Nothin' Dragon Masters, originated to commemorate the team's 20th anniversary.

It was a crisp blue sky start, but once the teams arrived and tents were set up, moods warmed with the spirit of camaraderie, and the specially selected tunes by event DJ and announcer Rod Macbeth.  Kwikwetlem First Nation opened the event with a special smudging blessing of the boats, the water and those in attendance.

Races began on time and the event moved smoothly onward with back to back sprints. Due to the low tides, a shorter lunch break was deemed necessary, and VIP paddlers selected by every team, as well as Nothin' Dragon Masters alumni, enjoyed a boating excursion on the water. The day was certainly picturesque for it with blue skies, calm waters, and snow-capped mountains on the horizon.

Adding to the festival-like atmosphere were entertainers, Tony Prophet and Chapter 11, with a guest performance by the Edmonton Boys' and Girl's Choir.
