Dragon Yoga Will Be Back at the 2022 Inlet Spring Regatta

Host team, the Nothin’ Dragon Masters will share their secret weapon with teams competing in the 2022 Inlet Spring Regatta on Saturday, April 23 at Rocky Point Park as Dragon Yoga returns to the event, led by Dorota Budziszewska.

The team trains throughout the winter months with dryland fitness classes as well as weekly yoga classes with Dorota who has been teaching for over 10 years and says she loves it as much today as the first time she tried it. “I play squash and I strongly feel that it is the yoga stretches and strengthening that enables my body to keep playing.”

“Dorota’s classes keep our muscles supple and strong,” said team president, Brian Kenny. “We’re pleased to have her back at the Inlet Spring Regatta, where any individual or team can join in as she leads us through standing yoga postures.”

On April 23, Dragon Yoga will start at 9 a.m. and run each hour up to 2 p.m. at no charge. Feel free to try out Dragon Yoga, as Dorota provides a little love-note to your body that may make you smile to yourself or laugh with others! Anyone is welcome to join in.

“I find yoga has incredible benefits for the mind as well as the body,” said Dorota. “So during the intense regatta competition, boaters and supporters may find yoga will decrease anxiety through relaxation/release breathing, stretch joints and muscles to prevent injury, and decrease muscle aches and pains. Come as you are, we will do short yoga session tasters of standing and balance poses, no need for mats or even worry about taking off your shoes.”
