The Nothin’ Dragon Masters are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2023 Inlet Spring Regatta on Saturday, April 29!

“We are excited to host our fourth event as we celebrate 25 years as a team," said host team president and event chairman, Brian Kenny of the Nothin' Dragon Masters. "Early bird registration offers a reduced price until Jan. 1, 2023, so we hope teams will take advantage of that."

Attracting dragon boaters from around the region in the first regatta for the dragon boat season, the event will consist of 200-meter races in twenty-person BuK boats. Each team will be guaranteed four races and all winners will receive a medal. In the first three years of the event, teams from Langley, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Chilliwack, Delta, New Westminster, Burnaby and other parts of BC have attended, however, the regatta is open to all dragon boaters far and wide.

G2G Race Management will once again run the race component on the water and provide the official results. Participants can expect product vendors, food trucks, a beer garden sponsored by Yellow Dog Brewing, wandering entertainment and free dragon yoga – an offering unique to this regatta.

The Burrard Inlet is an ocean water inlet teeming with wildlife, from birds to seals, fish, and shellfish, most of which can be seen while paddling there. The Inlet Spring Regatta will have several categories named after birds found in the area, like the eagle, osprey, and hawk.

Known as the City of the Arts, Port Moody is located in Metro Vancouver at the east end of Burrard Inlet and is bordered by Coquitlam on the east and south, and Burnaby on the west. The regatta venue, Rocky Point Park is known for its beautiful amenities, with The Boathouse Restaurant, Pajos Fish, and Chips. and Rocky Point Ice Cream all within one to five minutes walking distance. The area is well-known for its five local breweries and a distillery, also within short walking distance from the venue.
