K+S Potash Canada Recommits Support to Inlet Spring Regatta

Our Inlet neighbour, K+S Potash Canada, has recommitted their support to the Inlet Spring Regatta which returns to Rocky Point Park and the waters of Burrard Inlet on April 20.

"K+S Potash Canada's support for the Inlet Spring Regatta has been instrumental in making the event a great success,” said event chairman, Brian Kenny. “We appreciate their ongoing commitment to our community and the spirit of competition on the water.”

Since 2017, Port Moody has been home to the company’s storage and transshipment facility for their natural fertilizers. Potash is the common name for an alkaline potassium compound made up of a group of minerals and chemicals containing potassium (K on the periodic table), and is abundant in Canada, making our country one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of potash.

“Port Moody is such a vibrant community, and we are so honoured to participate in the Inlet Spring Regatta once again in 2024," said Paige Gignac, Community Investment Specialist K+S Potash Canada. "This event brings together paddlers, vendors, and families in such a fun way. We were spoiled last year with the fantastic weather and fingers crossed we can count on some sunshine again this year. K+S Potash Canada is committed to being a good neighbour and we look forward to meeting our Port Moody neighbours, please stop by our booth, and say hello.”

This is the fifth Inlet Spring Regatta hosted by the Nothin’ Dragon Paddling Society and features 200m dragon boat races in BUK boats and attracts teams from throughout BC. The Regatta is the first dragon boat event of the season and features live music, a DJ, food trucks, vendors and a beer garden sponsored by Yellow Dog Brewing.

If you'd like to align your company with our event, please email us today at inletspringregatta@gmail.com

Be sure to stop by the K+S Potash tent and say hello on April 20!
